Having to file bankruptcy now

Me and one of my buddies went out today and found some scooters to ride around town. When we looked at the pricing it was telling us an all day pass was $10 and included unlimited 60 minute rides at a time. However what they DO NOT disclose clearly in this, is that even with these passes, the scooters would be an additional and totally unrelated charge every single trip taken. I was out there with my friend for 4 hours, and both of us rode scooters…. the whole time. I am now receiving over 200 dollars of total charges without refund. Say what you will about fine print, but this was incredibly misleading, and I’m not seeing I’m not the only one who has had this issue.

Buggy app and physical technology

While I’ve had several successful rides, this is quite a hit or miss system. You are required to enter password every time when checking out a one time bike. No Apple Pay. App did not recognize password for my partner even after reset. Had to give up and abandon attempts to check bikes out multiple times. Another time the docking station seemed to be down, but did lock my bike with the meter still running and could not remove to attempt at different station either. The physical paystation alternative to the app also frequently do not work.

Was Charged and Miss Lead

I purchased an all day pass and was under the impression that this covered the bike or scooter because they are in the same rack. I was charged 30 dollars for the pass and then when I woke up the next day had an almost 80 DOLLAR CHARGE ON MY CARD. When I called they told me that the there was a bike pass as well as a scooter and I got charged per minute when riding the scooter because I bought a bike pass. The only thing they could do for me was give the 30 for the bike pass back. Don’t understand why it would unlock the scooter if the pass I had did not work for it absolutely insane to me. Total scam watch out.

I gave up when it got to the card holder information

Most other apps allow you to connect your Apple Pay and the whole sign-up process takes one second. I took the time to put in all my contact information and create the account but when it asked me to pull out my card. And start putting all that information too I just gave up.

Bad. Don’t download

Incredibly unclear about how much money you’re spending, they wore everything to trick you into spending more money then you think. Corporate pigs. You WILL end up spending more than you think so just don’t do it

20% of the time, it works every time

The app is very buggy and does not work well. Resetting your password is a nightmare. Basically every time I use it I have to call support because there is a very basic function in the app that isn’t working or is erroring out.

Feels like a great idea that was never followed through

Bummed that I purchased a package of 300 minutes before learning that the bikes are garbage. They are extremely heavy and have drum brakes. So dumb. Nobody uses drum brakes on a bike or motorcycle anymore. The bikes I rented shifted gears on their own, which was jolting. No front suspension, so you feel everything in the road. Feels like someone had this great idea, but knows nothing about bikes or what customers are looking for and just gave up on it. With other options out there, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I didn’t have the docking issue like so many others did, but I was thankful for them pointing out that scam so that I didn’t fall for it too.

Difficult to use — just so frustrating that you don’t even wanna ride the bike

Garbage app

Should be removed from app store!! pogoh needs to do better. Being in Pittsburgh and close to Pitt and CMU I expect quality service. This is not the case. The company should be forced to do better! I'm suprised its gotten this far off track!

Works great!

The bikes are good and the app works exactly as it should! Great way to get around Pittsburgh!

OVER CHARGED

Paid for the $10 rental for the bike, and was charged $30.01 and I am still waiting for a reply from customer service. I’ve never kept the bikes long enough for late fees or anything. I swear I am NEVER going to use this again. App is very glitchy, too. It’s terrible. I need my money back. Going to the BBB, hopefully they’ll launch an investigation or something. Whoever set this app up needs to be fired asap.

Needs Work

In theory, this is a great idea. Use the app to find, rent, and return a bike. In practice, though, it’s terrible. First, I set up an account a few hours before renting. I didn’t want to have to enter my credit card while I’m standing at the dock. I did the per ride option since I’m not sure I want a membership. But when I go to rent a bike, the app tells me my membership is expired? What? Ok fine. I buy a new membership (which is odd) and it’s the per ride option so it’s charging me by the minute. I checked the app before I left and knew exactly which dock I want to return the bike to. It’s the Pima Community College dock, FYI. So, I get to the dock, return the bike, and see the green light telling me I’ve returned the bike. I even try to pull it out of the dock to make sure and it’s locked in right. I walk away and check the app and it says I’m still riding. I give it a few minutes to update but it says I’m still riding. I force quit the app and restart and it says I’m STILL riding. Which I am not. So, I call customer service. She’s super-nice and tells me the reason the app says I’m still riding is because Pima is disconnected from the network!!! How? And why? Why is it disconnected from the network yet I can find it as an active dock in the app? Sigh. This could be amazing on so many levels but this app needs a lot of work.

This is one of the worst apps I’ve used

I’ve been riding biki bikes for over 5 years now, and I plan to never use them again once my current subscription is finished. Over the past 2 years Biki has progressively gotten worse and worse. This app is proof of that. To make matters worse, they actually increased all of their prices while giving you a worse product. They had a wonderful app before, and sure it was a little glitchy at times, but it was never unusable like this one is. This app crashes constantly, loads blank maps more often than usable maps, and offers no way to edit your subscription within the app. You have to go online and hope that their webpage is working properly to do that. If I could give this app 0 stars I would. Shame on you Biki.

No watch companion app

I’ve used this awhile and it’s a terrible downgrade from the app Biki (Honolulu) formerly used. It’ll refuse me a code indicating I have another bike out when I don’t. Requires several restarts to clear that error. I’d love a watch companion app so I don’t need to have my phone when I’m planning to bike to get to the ocean for a swim or surf.

Doesn’t stop

Today me and my 2 friends rented bikes for one and half hour and put the bikes back to the station and saw the green light but in app our usage still goes on and 5 hours passed already. Please fix that problem and charge us for the time that we really used it. I already sent e-mail and reported it in the app but didn’t get any response.

Can’t log in

So I know biki is transitioning to this app but it never allows me to log in. I can log in through the website and the old biki app but it keeps saying password and log in do not match. How if I can log in to the website and old app? You guys gotta fix this app. It’s not as easy at the old app is and was. I hope you fix this before you sunset the old app.

This app is an act of aggression

I’m the sort of guy to tip 20% for bad service, but boy howdy does this app warrant some negative response. I had to create a new account the second time I used it because it’s so poorly designed. Whoever is responsible for this should be dragged out behind the shed and caned. Absolutely the worst non-ad-driven app I’ve ever used. You’d think some CMU kid looking for a class project could be brought in to rewrite the UI on this piece of garbage. Next time I come to Pittsburgh I’m bringing my own bike so I don’t have to use this garbage app.

Rating reflects the app precisely

There is so many things wrong from the money grabbing (if there is an issue with docking best believe they gladly charge you) to just random inaccessibility even though bikes are available and charged. Would not recommend, the spin scooters where way better than these developers ever could dream

Student Promo Code didn’t work…

Got emailed by my university for a code that would give free 30 minute rides for a year. It looked like it went thru, but when I checked my bank account I saw I was billed $128. The app is extremely glitchy. If you’re using a code make sure you don’t get charged

Shockingly bad

These guys are surly running out their current city contracts then getting out. This app wouldn't have been acceptable in 2006 let alone today. Very embarrassing for the "developers"

Cannot Unlock The Bike

It a horrible experience. Paid everything and the bike was not unlocking when my ride already started to time out. Apparently cannot lock it or unlock another ride either saying the maximum has been reached? Also, no customer service. Cannot find anybody for help.

Needs auto fill

You need to enable auto fill on the forms and Apple pay for payment. I kept making errors typing in my info and decided to do a Lyft bike instead.

App still says I’m riding a bike that I parked

I rode Biki bike D10426 for 10 minutes and parked it at a station I don’t usually go to since the other ones were full. Then went along with my day for about 1 hour then I go to rent another Biki but it says I’m still riding. I look and find the Biki bike I rode earlier and it’s locked and secured into the station. I’ve been calling customer support but they’re all busy. I better not be charged for riding something I’m not. I made sure the station showed the green light like I usually do since I’m more cautious and don’t want to be responsible for a lost Biki bike.

Incompetent developers

Can you make an app that actually works and doesn’t glitch out 50% of the time? Thx

Embarrassing

I can only imagine the investment that has been made in the Hardware of the bikes themselves. It should be embarrassing to this company that their app is so confusing and non-functional. Do some users testing for Pete’s sake. People would rent more often if the app were easier to use.

Very Disappointing

I was concerned by the low reviews for this app but figured how hard can it be to unlock a bike - especially since I did it so easily before with the previous app my city used for bike shares. But wow, this one was a load of junk. Took 10 minutes to become thoroughly confused until I gave up. I somehow got to a place where I could unlock a bike and was given a code that seemed to work but the bike wouldn’t budge. Then every time I tried to click on anything I was promoted to activate Bluetooth. Why? And my Bluetooth was active the entire time. Sigh.

Could be better

HIBike experience (Hawaii): App signup was a little clunky. Why no option for linking Apple Pay, PayPal or Venmo? Unclear if Free Spirit plan has ride time-limits (300 minutes towards multiple 30 or 60 minute rides or can I just ride for 300 minutes straight?). Bikes are not e-bikes with hill-assist which can make getting to some places more challenging than expected. Bikes are 3-speed heavy cruisers. Check-in/checkout of bike worked fine.

App stops working

Every couple of days the app completely stops working. The screen turns white and you have to delete and redownload, sometimes more than once, for it to work. Is that normal?

For some reason the app doesn’t allow you to view the map while you’re renting a bike. So you can’t find the nearest station or see how many bikes are already parked. Pretty big oversight.

Glitchy app

Service is great. Great price. The app is extremely glitchy and needs to be debugged. I’ll open the app and it just shows a blank white screen. I usually have to close and open the app about 3-5 times just to get the map to show up.

Don’t waste your time for this app, worst experience in Hawaii

DON’T download and use this app. I’ve never written a review in MY LIFE, but this experience is so awful. When my friend tried to unlock a bike, it didn’t came out and showed it’s alrdy using it. And with my phone, the app is just sooooo glitchy and I can't access the app at all. I’m using the LATEST IPHONE which is iphone 14 pro and I have very enough space for using the App. They recommended me to shut down and turn on your cell phone multiple times and delete and redownload, but it was still not working . Customer service girl said she will refund it and a few days after she called me again they will not refund lol. I didn't use it because they said they were gonna refund and now called me back and WHAT ? How about my time then? Can you refund my time too??? They need to handle this by either fixing the problem or refund. Furthermore, I’ve never called with that rude and poor customer service. I just they okay because she is insane and I don’t want to continue this stupid conversation and ruin my mood in wonderful vacation in hawaii I’ve noticed so many korean visit Hawaii every year , I’m going to upload a video and photo on my Korean blog for future inconvenience. There are reasons why most of the people on review they leave bad reviews

I wish I didn’t have to use this app

There used to be a dedicated biki app for the Bikeshare In Honolulu. This is a strong downgrade. It crashes all the time putting up a white screen with no errors and force quitting only gives a flash of the map before returning to the white screen. Unacceptable. Do better.

Does its job

Would be 5 stars for doing all the things it should do. I encountered no glitches with the app like others reported. Sign up went fine. Except there's a part that feels pretty scammy. You have to dock the bike before 30 minutes is up or they charge you $4, which is fine, that's the terms, reasonable fee, no problem. But it apparently doesn't actually know if there are empty spots at each station. So you show up to dock the bike at 28 minutes, it's actually full, and now you're paying $4 because they don't know their actual status. Somewhere I saw a claim that if a station is full you can extend your time if this happens. If that's true, I can't find it. When you hit the "station is full" button, it very unhelpfully says to find another station. No option to extend the time. Obviously if you're standing at a station, there should be an "it's full, I need more time" button in giant red letters, but that would be mean they wouldn't get their $4.

Perfect for our short stay in Chattanooga

Rented the bikes to ride from the river to St. Elmo and back. It was so easy to sign up, to rent, to return and bikes were in good condition to ride. When you rent you can use the bikes for 1hr at a time (we assume so the GPS stays charged) for a 24hr period. We would just return our bike to another kiosk at the end of the hr and unlock another at the same kiosk to continue riding. We rode the TN River trail 2x in our 24 hrs + around town. Will do again for sure.

Terrible app

Where is Apple Pay and why do I have to enter my credit card information like it’s 2010 ? The interface is horrible, it’s so slow, so glitchy, so hard to understand… Get a software engineer who knows what he’s doing and fix your app !

Worst app ever. Unable to unlock a bike

When I scan the QR code to unlock a bike, it says connecting to server is failed. 5 seconds later, I received an email says my bike is returned. Then, I tried to unlock again, the same thing happens. Unable to use it at all.

This app is very hard to come across, put it in more of the footers of your pages on your website, that is all.

Works well enough so far

Sometimes it takes a couple requests to get the app to give an unlock code but otherwise seems to work pretty well. Wish it had a feature to create routes between docking stations or find the nearest station to searchable locations.

Works good

Saw lots of reviews saying it didn’t work so was unsure of whether to try it. Was much better than expected👍👍At least using IOS signing up and paying was easy. Rolling around the city from spot to spot as a tourist was easy and convenient. Bikes were in decent shape and very available.

App is non functional

I keep downloading and re-downloading it but it’s stuck on the main screen… No bike stops or anything, ridiculous
